Hasankeyf Express is all abroad on 29 August 2007 on
behalf of Atlas Magazine and Doğa Derneği, by Doğa Tourism.
The Hasankeyf Express will start its journey on 29 August
evening from Haydarpaşa Station, İstanbul. The Ankara
supporters will join to the train on 30 August morning.
The journey will be a nature and culture festival more
than a tourism travel. There will be a hired special
train with a meeting coach to organize special presentations
and seminars which will also be available for a "train
party" and musical concerts. The journey to avoid
sinking of Hasankeyf with its thousands years old history,
will be guided by Özcan Yüksek, the Chief Editor of
Atlas Magazine, Güven Eken, the Director General of
Doğa Derneği and a number of experts. During the journey,
Anatolia's nature, steppes, Taurus Mountains, climate
change and Hasankeyf will be the main topics to inform
the supporters. The Hasankeyf Express will arrive Hasankeyf
after 35 hours long journey. The round journey will
start after staying one night in Hasankeyf on 1 September
2007.
